Laudatus Praetoria!

As promised, here are the rest of my current praetorians. Pictured above is the entirety of my praetorian collection. Soon another platoon and heavy weapons squad will be joining, as well as I finish up the last few models of my current collection. The needed a lot of work since I first bought them way back when, but it really shows what a paint brush and a little elbow grease will do for restoring old models! Hope you enjoy!

More Praetorians Arrive In-Theater

The men of the Praetorian 324th arrive on Armageddon to bolster the beleagred Imperial forces!

I decided to do a photodump of all my praetorians so far. Not pictured here is...well..the REST of my praetorians. Most notably my Standard bearer, who I am particularly proud of. These will come later, but they have been completed and even gotten touched up since my unfortunate varnishing accident. This is just to wet your whistle while I'm away on vacation and can't take more pics.

Of super heavies and penal legions...

Well, Here's a bit for the frontlines! Above is my completed Malcador Defender tank. I wanted one 'cause it looked cool, and I put it in the Death Korps of Krieg Absolution Battalion, which was mention in Codex: Armageddon. Its simple: Codex grey drybrushed over black, with drybrushed fortress grey stripes.

Also above is the infamous 13th Penal LEgion, which also took part in the Third War for Armageddon. I have more available, and bought a second boxed set of the dirty little penal legionnaires to test out an urban camo scheme, which I will include later. The catachans are the old classic models, and I'm going to stick with their scheme...I really like it.

Long time no post!
Well, after a brief (OK long) interlude, got a lot of major projects. Just about all of them are repainting my existing miniatures and bringing them all "up to date". My steel legion, as promised, have grown...alot. And need to be stripped and painted in most cases. Yes...all 70 of them. Yuck. But I have high hopes, and am thinking of an alternate color scheme from that odd powder blue/grey. thinking of just goin traditional with them, with the tan coats.

Another upcoming one is my death korps. They are getting a HUGE overhaul, and so far they look friggin' great. went with the traditional krieg color forge world uses. Shadow grey. Highlighted with mixes of shadow grey and bleached bone, and it looks good. The armor is boltgun metal with HEAVY black ink. Great subdued look, looks like steel, but very dull and blends in with the rest perfectly. when their done you can be sure I'll have them posted. I got my praetorians all done, having to do minor touchups on the red after my varnish made them look...erm...weathered? fluffy? powdered? not sure how to describe it. But soon enough you will get to see them all...I promise! Next week ill take the pictures, as well as a surprise treat for you. I promise...youll like it. Big hint: higgins boat.

I've had these guys sitting around or years, and decided that, instead of collecting dust, I should finish up the army and get it on the table. These pictures are here to wet your appetite a bit to the brittish themed guardsmen.

The tunics are terracotta, over black with blood red highlights. The trousers are ortress grey with liberally applied skull white. Pith helmets are bestial brown with a drybrush of bleached bone, and a VERY LIGHT drybrush of skull white. Please post any comments, as usual, including critiques and thoughts on a praetorian army.
